CITY POLICEMEN led by chief inspector Michael Palermo recovered four stolen motorcycles and arrested three suspects during a series of operations in February, latest information from the city PNP station stated.

RamonOchotorena commended Palermo and his men after receiving the report submitted by Palermo to the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office.
Police records narrated that on Feb. 3, traffic section policemen led by P/Insp. Jerry Labrador conducted a follow-up investigation in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental and recovered a black Honda XRM 125 with plate 4411-JJ owned by Asnodin Jally of Brgy. Banale, Pagadian City.
Labrador and company also arrested the suspected carnappers of said Honda XRM, identified as Benjamin Abueg and Marcos Magsayo, both residents of Carmen Annex, Ozamiz City.
Another carnapped motorcycle was recovered by Labrador and company last Feb. 25 and the suspected carnapper arrested during the conduct of a checkpoint implementing the Comelec Gun Ban and tracking down of colorum vehicles.
Labrador and Police Inspectors Gaspas Gandiangan and Julwadi Edding identified the cornered suspect as Jose Vicente, a resident of Brgy. Banale, Pagadian City.
Vicente was pointed to as the one who rode off with the Suzuki Raider of Letecia Mejos of Poblacion, Lakewood town last Feb. 11.
February 25, at 10:00 a.m., policemen recovered during a follow up operation in Tuburan District, this city the blue MC Honda XRM 110 owned by late SPO3 Jesus Ceballos Imperial, which was earlier reported missing.
That afternoon, policemen again recovered a carnapped motorcycle at the vicinity of Benigno Aquino Street, San Jose District, this city a blue Honda Wave 125 owned by Noel Maghanoy, who reported it missing.
Palermo told this paper that the recovery of the said motorcycles was through the cooperation of the owners who immediately reported the carnapping to the PNP office. He also mentioned the helpful information given by concerned citizens which led to the retrieval of the vehicles.
The police chief added that all those arrested are presently detained at the lock-up cell as charges of carnapping under RA 6539 were prepared against the suspects.
