CEBU PACIFIC (CEB) has added the regional center of Western Mindanao as part of its wide-ranging network with the opening of its Pagadian-Cebu route on April 27 and Pagadian-Manila on June 9, this year, a press release obtained by this paper said.
CEB Vice President for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog said the new routes will serve as a substitute point of entry to the cities of Ozamiz, Iligan and Cotabato offering its ground-breaking fare of only P688 going to Cebu and P1,088 for Manila.
With the opening of the Pagadian route, CEB domestic destinations now register 33 with existing flights in other Mindanao destinations direct from Manila and Cebu like Surigao, Siargao, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Dipolog, Ozamiz, Zamboanga, Cotabato, General Santos and Davao.
“Cebu Pacific encourages passengers to book early to avail of the lowest possible fares for as low as 50% as an invitation to business and leisure travelers, as well as first-time fliers and bus and ferry passengers, to fly with Cebu Pacific for their travel needs,” Iyog said.
It was learned that CEB will service either an Airbus A320 or ATR 72-500 aircraft for the said routes as Mayor Samuel Co confirmed CEB’s pioneering flights in his Wednesday radio program last March 17.
