AS THE FOREFRONT in delivering the needed services to its member and non-member Micro, Small & Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) and in pro-actively campaigning for local entrepreneurship development, the Pagadian City-Zamboanga del Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc.

(PCZCCIFI) held the first ever Go Negosyo Seminar last July 6 at the  Liga ng mga Barangay Convention Center, this city. The said seminar was one of the several activities held in the observance of the Business Week and the Micro Small Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) Week on July 5–9, 2010. It was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) - Go Negosyo, and the Department of Trade and Industry Provincial Office in Zamboanga del Sur.

Along with the seminar, a Trade Fair was also held to give opportunity to local MSMEs, particularly chamber members to showcase and market their best products. According to Mercedes Lourdes Quisumbing, President of PCZCCIFI well-known speakers were invited, like Cito Beltran, Columnist, Philippine Star who lectured on Mastering Self; Professor Jay Bernardo of the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship who talked on Opportunities and Product Development; Professor Romeo Fernando from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) who discussed on Marketing and DBP Regional Head while Vice President Cathy Marquez talked on Financing.

Mr. Claudio Orjalesa of Pagadian Taft Mart and a representative of Springland Youth Workers Association also shared their success stories during the seminar, Quisumbing said.
