Pagadian's Top of the Prob's
There was never a city, which didn't face problems. Here in Pagadian City, there have been things happening here, which makes the residents be terrified of in the present time.
Crime Rate - There has been an increase of crime rate these months. According to reports, those who where killed where mostly police officers. It has been said that the target of the syndicates are the police officers that have been, maybe, a hindrance to their illegal activities. Innocent civilians are affected with this. An alarming problem those authorities must not take for granted.
Drug Addiction - Yesterday and today's problem. Wherever you go, this is always what any government is striving to annihilate. But here in Pagadian, it is really getting worse than we all can ever think of. Drug traffickers have begun to wipe out authorities one by one.
Streetlights - Did you know that most of my friends have experienced being robbed while they were walking in the streets at night? Though walking during 7 to 10 is still a bit safer, robbers has taken chances to rob them in places where light isn't present! I think local government shouldn't take this as a petty problem.
Noise Pollution - You have certainly guessed it right! The tricycles! Well, no matter how we said that they have irritating noise this transport vehicle has given us, it gave the hibernating neighbors discomfort especially to those who are near elevated areas, and distraction to those schools situated near roads.
Driving Without License - Aside from crime rate, accident rate has also increased. Mostly, those who drive nowadays drive without license and are even drunk while driving and sometimes, their vehicles have no plate numbers. Police traffickers shouldn't be so blind of what is happening within the streets! They should too know that mostly, vehicles that do not have plate numbers are used for illegal drug users for some activities.
Rehabilitation for Mentally Disabled People - You may think that they are harmless, sometimes. But they give a pleasant and depressing look to most of us when we see them in streets. Imagine yourself in their place being abandoned and has nowhere to live in. I know! You wished not to look one!
Insufficient Funds and Facilities in Hospitals - Medical attendants and nursing students, who do their internship, are finding themselves in a very difficult situation of not having enough funds to buy the hospitals must have and aren't able to save most lives because they don't have the facilities needed. This is the only cry for those medical attendants to the local government - to have enough support for their patient's and hospital necessities.
Water Pollution (marine) - We are going to specify Mother Earth's aquamarine - the seas/ocean. It has played a variant role in providing our food and other needs. Nowadays, our seas are filled with waste and garbage disposals, which those who are living near shores are mostly the ones who are to blame. There must be a solution to this outraging problem of Pagadian City.
Low Infrastructures - People of today, especially the young citizens of Pagadian City love to hang out and stroll around the city. Yet, the places have become so common and boring to most of us. Many have become "tambays" because there are no vacant jobs on hire. If only the local government will permit good and big entrepreneurs in the city, our unemployment rate might decrease and our local economy might boost up.
Unstable Power Supply - This has been one of the problems the community is facing. Brownouts and blackouts don't just make the bills big, but also make our electric appliances be useless and unusable. If the supply would get worker, there would be a big problem between the consumer and the provider 's of power supply corporate.
Before looking into the future, we must first be aware of what is happening in the present and try to resolve the problems that the city is facing. We must not loose hope of trying to banish what is making our community ugly and insecure. After all, isn’t it worth fighting for the future of the next generation? For them to know how wonderful it is to live in a place where everybody cares for the best of everyone?
